 | Kyosho World Cup Qualifying Rules The UK Qualification round of the Kyosho Cup is to be held in over the weekend of the 6th – 7th May at Tibshelf race track in Derbyshire. Winners of both thew S and R class will be invited to compete at the prestigious Kyosho World Cup Finals to be held in Paris.
The racing is to be staged over 2 days – Saturday practice and qualifying and Sunday 1 round of qualifying and finals.
Entry is £7 for both days racing.
Race Format and Rules

Saturday 6th May
10am – 1pm open practice
1pm – 6pm Qualifying
Evening – Racers banquet
Sunday 7th May
10am – 12pm Qualifying
12pm – 6pm Christmas tree finals
2006 Kyosho World Cup Qualification Race Rules
A driver can race in both categories during this qualification race (2 entry fees to be paid) but he/she can only qualify for the Kyosho World Cup final in 1 category
Factory sponsored or team drivers cannot run in the S Class
S Class
Chassis: Any Kyosho V-One S, S2, S3 – FW05 and FW05T
Engine: Kyosho GS15R or Kyosho GXR15 – No modification allowed except glow plug change and head clearance
Bodyshell: Any official Kyosho touring. Openings and holes allowed to be to 2006 BRCA rules
Other Items: Radio, tyres, fuel – open
Only genuine Kyosho parts and option parts to be allowed
R Class
Chassis: Any Kyosho V-One/FW05 Series
Engine: Open
Bodyshell: Open – touring or VDS
Other Items: Radio, tyres, fuel – open
Only genuine Kyosho parts and option parts to be allowed
World Cup Qualification
S-Class
1 team of 2 drivers will qualify from the S-Class with all travel and hotel expenses paid
1st place driver and his choice of partner out of the other attendants present at the qualification race
1 team of 2 drivers will qualify from the S-class (travel and hotel expenses not paid)
2nd place driver and his choice of partner out of the other attendants present at the qualification race
R-Class
Top 3 drivers from R class will qualify for the World finals
All 7 drivers that qualify for the World Finals will get a new car for the race free of charge
S-class drivers will receive 1 x FW05T each
R-Class drivers will receive 1 x V-One RRR each

 | Kyosho Test Weekend (08/02/06) “On the 25th -26th February Ben Racing and Tibshelf Model Car Club will be hosting the 2006 Kyosho Pre Season test session for 1/8th scale on road and 200mm on road cars. This gives all drivers the opportunity to extract the maximum performance from their cars before the season starts!
Saturday will be devoted to practicing and set-up seminars with Sunday afternoon giving drivers the opportunity of timed practice to see just how much they have improved over the weekend! Saturday night will see a meal and a few drinks for anyone who wants to venture out and discuss set-ups, lap times or anything else! There will also be trackside catering as well as full spares support for all Kyosho, HoBao and Team Magic cars.
On hand to offer expert support and advice will be top Kyosho driver Jean Claude Berron. JC Berron will be available both days to offer you set up tips, engine help and driver coaching.
Ben Racing has also decided to open up this weekend to all drivers, no matter what make of car or ability level - everyone can improve their results in 2006!
Entry into the weekend is free for all and in addition to the weekend Ben Racing will be providing a set ups book for reference during the 2006 season!

 | Mark Redmond Puts JP FX21-B5T on the Grid! (27/06/05) BenRacing Team driver, Mark Redmond, put the FX21-B5T full option right into the thick of the action at the Pendle National.
After qualifying 9th on the grid against the best 1/8th RallyX drivers in the UK, Mark worked his way up to 5th place in the final where whilst trying to avoid a crashed car ended up damaging the rear end of his car. Mark had this to say: "The bottom end power was unbelivable! All I had to do was wait until the straight and then open the taps! The power was awesome!"
BenRacing would like to congratulate Mark on his A Final placing and are sure this is the first of many!

 | First Run With Kyosho V-One RRR (23/01/05) Today was the first test of the Team V-One RRR that will be used by Ben Kelsall during the 2005 BRCA and EFRA title campaign. Team driver Matt Blowers as well as pit men Paul Kelsall and Rob Carlin were on hand to help with the initial shakedown runs of the car.
After running in the FX12-T03 motor the team started to get get down to some serious lapping of the Tibshelf circuit in Derbyshire.
As run out of the box in low traction conditions the car showed awesome promise on the fast sweeping curves with the ability to change direction in a positive but stable manner. Only a lack of thermal clothing put a dampener the day (1 deg C ambient temperature!).

| | Jon Hazlewood Flattens the Opposition! (10/01/05) Team JP Racing driver - Jon Hazlewood showed the field how it was done at the Harper Adams University College indoor Rallycross meeting at the weekend.
Against a field of class drivers Jon first of all outqualified the field by 15 seconds and in the second part of his double whammy took an unchallenged win in the main final as well!
Jon was using the JP FX21-B5T motor with the matching JP Racing 9886 pipe.
